Stay Informed

"Weekly" Update

Ideally, we would like to have a new issue of Stay Informed posted on our website every Monday.  However, the number of radio interviews we have done over the last two weeks has kept us busy.  And, of course, this past Monday was tax filing day.  So, we prioritized.

First on our list of priorities is getting the word out to the American people that there is something they themselves can personally do to peacefully and legally fight back against the IRS and Big Government.  Because we know the more people who hear about us, the more protest letters get mailed to the IRS, the more organizers join the fight, and the more money comes in to fund the protest movement.

We spent Monday evening passing out our posters at the main post office in Toledo, Ohio.  For those of you who haven’t seen our posters yet, they contain our logo at the top and a message underneath.  The message reads:  IT’S FINALLY YOUR CHANCE TO FIGHT BACK AGAINST THE GROSS ABUSE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE BY THE IRS AND BIG GOVERNMENT.  IF YOU DON’T FIGHT BACK NOW, IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE.  We use these posters to advertise our website address and toll free number.

You would be amazed at the line of traffic heading into the post office to file last minute tax returns.  We handed out close to 2000 posters in the span of 2 ½ hours.

We would like to extend a special thanks to one of our organizers in Michigan who handed out posters on tax filing day and to all our truck driving friends who are passing them out and posting them across the country.

On the radio interview front, we are very pleased to report that we have done 10 interviews in the past 10 days.  None of the stations have had near the listening audience of WLW, but we have already surpassed our record for monthly website hits.  We began this month at 7110 hits and as of April 19, we had well over 11500.  That’s over 4400 hits in just over 2 weeks.  And, that means more and more protest letters are being sent to the IRS.  Not only that, but also this month has seen a tremendous increase in the number of e-mails we are receiving.  This means we have opened the lines of communication with people who have Internet access.  And, that is a good thing. Many have offered their support and we have added them to our list of organizers, which is growing at a rapid rate.  That confirms our belief that we have a good message, one the American people can relate to.

There is another strong indication that the American people are listening to what we have to say.  So far this month, we have scheduled 4 interviews with radio stations that heard about us through the grapevine and called us to request our appearance on their program.  And, that’s a good thing.  It saves us the time of contacting them, sending them information and convincing them to have us on their show.  One of the hosts who contacted us was doing a show on tax day, talking about the IRS.  During his show, one of his co-workers passed him a note with our website address.  He called us after his program to schedule with us.  And, that is how a grass roots movement works.  People telling other people about us.  So to those people who are spreading the word, we can only say, keep on talkin’.  Because that means more protest letters are being sent to the IRS and more people will get involved.

We issued the following press release this week:  Innocent taxpayer who was relentlessly pursued by the IRS until he was cleared by the Senate Finance Committee investigating IRS abuse sends the IRS a bill on tax day.  The letter sent to the IRS from Donald E. Iiams, Jr. can be found on our home page which we have recently updated.  I invite you to check it out.

On a final note, we are pleased to announce that we have been invited to address the Hamilton Fraternal Order of Police Associates—Lodge #19 in Hamilton, Ohio on Wednesday, May 2, 2001 at 7:00 PM.  We have invited all those who called us from the Cincinnati/Dayton area.  If you would be interested in attending, we request you RSVP as we have only 230 seats available.  You may call us on our toll free number or send us an e-mail.

And, that's your "weekly" update. We'll keep weekly in quotes until such time as we consistently post Stay Informed every Monday of every week.

This is George Smith reminding you to stay informed and stay involved.  Continue investing in your relationship with your government.  Because from everything we have seen, you will get a great return on this investment.
