Stay Informed

March 5, 2001

As many of you already know, endtheirs.org is a grassroots organization founded by Donald E. Iiams, Jr. for the sole purpose of putting the Internal Revenue Service out of business--legally and peacefully.  There are many tax groups out there that claim to also be committed to this goal.  But, you have to ask yourself how committed they are.  Many have been around for 20 or more years and we still have the IRS.

If you are at all skeptical about our sincerity and commitment to this goal, remember Donald Iiams founded endtheirs.org after taking a 13-year beating from the IRS.  The IRS destroyed two of his businesses.  The IRS destroyed his family and put him through bankruptcy.  So, Donald Iiams isn’t here to make a living off of people’s disgust with the IRS.  He has seen the IRS for the dangerous threat it is to all Americans and to our very system of government. Government is dangerous enough as it is without being armed with a collection agency that can make people destitute, put people on the streets, destroy people without nary a foot stepped in a court of law.  endtheirs.org is bound and determined to put an end to the IRS as soon as humanly possible. And, the sooner the better.

If a government agency is out there beating down millions of Americans, eventually, it stumbles across someone with the will and the ability to fight back.  Donald Iiams has a proven track record as a successful businessman (just look at the Shufflebowl game on page 23 of the Excerpts from the Book Section of our website, if you have any doubt).  He knows how to get things done, make things work. He was cleared by the senate finance committee investigating IRS abuse without the assistance of lawyers or accountants.  He did not even appear at the hearings.

The fact the IRS’ case against him was dismissed through a simple phone call, also clearly indicates his innocence was overwhelmingly clear.  In a word, he has a good case against the IRS, the kind of case regular people can look at and understand how wrong the IRS is for this country.  This means we have a good, strong message that has broad appeal not only to those with first-hand experience with the IRS, but to many others as well.

In September 2000 Donald Iiams committed over $20,000.00 of his own money to set up endtheirs.org.  endtheirs.org was equipped with computers, fax machines, phones, office equipment and a website.   In January we set up a toll free number to enable people without internet access to call us for copies of our protest letter and literature.

Donald Iiams hired people to start contacting radio stations across the country to see if they would give us air-time to talk about our plan to put the IRS out of business.  He was testing the market for his idea.  Could he get the word out to the American people that there was something they themselves could personally do to fight back against the IRS and the government that has sponsored this dangerous threat to our freedom?

We are pleased to report the response has been overwhelmingly positive.  As of today we have done over 60 radio talk shows working part-time.  All were a huge success.  Over 60% of the radio stations have doubled—if not tripled--the air time originally scheduled.  Our message has been well received because we come across professionally, honestly, and openly.  Even the radio talk show hosts agree with us.  That is because our message makes sense.  We have a message that people understand and agree with.

Another very positive indicator is the number of people who have contacted us.  So far we have had over 5200 hits on our website and hundreds of calls on our toll free number.  From the information we have, we estimate between 5000-10,000 protest letters a month are already going to the IRS office in Cincinnati, Ohio, our first targeted IRS office.

The point is, from everything we see this will work.  The key to our success is getting enough people to hear what we have to say.  Because if enough people hear, enough people will act.

After one of our recent interviews, we had a publicist contact us.  He said if we really wanted to put the IRS out of business, which even he feels we can, we need to get on every TV talk show there is.  He assured us he could do this for us.

But, we need to start raising around $50,000.00 a month to do this.  It is going to take money to get the word out and organize people across the country.  And, we are asking you to invest in our venture to bring about smaller, less threatening and less expensive government.    But, we understand investors need all the information they can get to determine the worth of their investment and its potential for return.

Here’s our plan.  Once we start scheduling TV shows, our in-house staff will schedule live radio appearances at stations in those cities.  That way, we get the most for our dollar.  We are going to saturate each area of the country with an all out media blitz.  Based on our experience so far, this will translate into thousands upon thousands of protest letters being mailed each day and geometrically increase the number of organizers and supporters we are recruiting across the country.  And, this is what it will take to put the IRS out of business.

What we are offering you is a way to fight back, peacefully and legally, without fear of retaliation from the IRS or the government that sponsors it.    How much would it be worth to you to accomplishing this?  We are asking you to make a pledge of a monthly donation between $25.00 and $50.00.  Of course, the donation will not be tax deductible.

In return, we will continue to press our message and inform you of our progress.  And, we believe you will want to get more involved in this as things progress.  We will keep you updated on our progress with weekly editions of  “Stay Informed”.  And, once we are fully up and running, a weekly newsletter to our non-internet supporters.

We encourage you to call us and would like your permission to call you monthly, not just to ask for your pledge but to share our successes with you and get you more involved.  Because the more you see this working, the more excited you will get about this.  This we guarantee.*  You will want to talk to family and friends and the people you work with.  You may want to give them protest letters or even post signs advertising endtheirs.org throughout your community.

George Smith Bio

George graduated from the University of Toledo in 1975 with honors.  He majored in political science and received a Bachelor of Arts degree.  In 1978, George graduated from the University of Toledo College of Law with honors.  He served four and one half years as an Attorney/ Instructor with the University of Toledo College of Law Legal Clinic then ventured into the private practice of law.  It was there he found his calling, specializing in civil rights and constitutional law litigation.  He has been a member of the Ohio Bar since 1979.  He is currently licensed to practice in the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Western Division, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Since the summer of 2000, George has devoted his time to assisting Donald Iiams, the founder of endtheirs.org, in his efforts to abolish the IRS.  This fits with his theory of government and his belief that the American people need to become actively involved at a political level to protect their rights and freedom against an ever growing and ever more powerful and intrusive government.  George believes our Constitution provides the American people with the tools required to effect peaceful change in government and believes the time has come for change in the relationship between the people and their government.
